I like picture 1. I think it’s warm and personable.

I like pic 2 better. For me has a more natural relaxed feeling.

  3. Picture 3 looks best in the thumbnail size, even though I like Picture 1 the best! As an editor, I would choose 3.

Another thought: On the text on the back of book 1, I would remove the indent at the beginning of the paragraph. That leaves room for the entire word INSTEAD to be on the same line. In fact, removing the indent at the beginning of the text on each bookcover would help adjust the spacing enough to eliminate the need for hyphenated words at all.

Agreed on the indentation. I’ll pass that along to my publisher. I just snagged a copy of the working cover from their author’s page for this giveaway, lol, so it’s not finalized by any means. I’ll take a look at your other suggestions, too. Thank you so much! 🙂

  4. I realize the covers are just working copies, but just thought I’d mention it anyway! Also, what do people think about Gently Parented Home? I think I would make the G and P lowercase.

I vote for pic 2. It’s very natural and relaxed. However, I do like the close up of pic 3.

I would love a copy of these for my little sister! She had a baby at 19 and she is just not mentally strong enough to gently discipline her toddler, Ive been trying to inform her about gently parenting over the spanking and yelling shes doing now but Ive been at a loss. Please send me some books to help!

I like them all, but in picture one, you are surrounded by resources for learning and becoming a better parent and that’s what we’re striving for! <3

Pic 3. Natural. Evokes – Personable. Warm. Likeable. Although I liked the others. This is closer up looks good small. And eliminates the props which although make sense and do look classy and classic could seem too cleverly contrived and you guys are all about authenticity. So pic 3. 🙂 Happy Holidays and great idea. :). Thank you.

  20. Pic#2 is my favorite! P#3 is maybe the best technical picture and what most editors would typically use. But, your book is not typical. 🙂
